What to do if CYLINDER FAIL signal appears on YOKOGAWA Measuring Instruments?
    • K
      Kevin KochAug 12, 2025
If the 'CYLINDER FAIL' signal appears on your YOKOGAWA Measuring Instruments, first, ensure the PG2 pressure gauge in the control box displays the correct preset value while in cleaning mode. If the reading is low, check for loose connections and readjust accordingly. Also, remove any dirt from the cylinder barrel and apply a thin layer of grease. Degraded lubricating grease can also cause this issue, so cleaning and re-greasing are important. If the slide of the cylinder is in an upper position, refer to section 6.5.

What to do if a smaller quantity of chemical solution is fed to holder in YOKOGAWA PH450G?
    • S
      Sheila MurphyAug 17, 2025
If a smaller quantity of chemical solution is being fed to the holder in your YOKOGAWA Measuring Instruments, inspect the thin covering in the bottom of the metering tank and replace it if it's deteriorated or damaged. If the thin covering is fine, check for leaks around the SV1 solenoid valve (in the control box) that's used for forced feeding of the chemical solution. If air flows through the valve when closed, replace it. Also, check the chemical solution in the cleaning chamber for traces indicating backflow into the chemical tank. If the bleed valve is clogged due to reverse flow, clean it.

Why more than 100 ml of chemical solution at a time is being fed to holder in YOKOGAWA PH450G Measuring Instruments?
    • E
      Edgar LongAug 25, 2025
If your YOKOGAWA Measuring Instruments are feeding more than 100 ml of chemical solution at a time to the holder, it may be due to an air leak from the O-ring in the metering tank. Fully tighten the cap. If the leak persists, inspect the cylinder barrel for cracks and the O-ring for defects. Replace any defective components.

What to do if chemical solution cannot be fed into cleaning chamber in YOKOGAWA Measuring Instruments?
    • R
      Roberta RobinsonAug 29, 2025
If chemical solution cannot be fed into the cleaning chamber of your YOKOGAWA Measuring Instruments, first ensure the cleaning sequence is complete and the slider is at the bottom. Check the cable connected to the terminal block for the limit switch. The issue may be that timer T2 is not activating even when the cylinder slider is at the top, or there's an erroneous or missing 'DETECT UPPER LIMIT' signal.

How to fix liquid leaking from bottom plate of cleaning chamber in YOKOGAWA Measuring Instruments?
    • G
      ghowardSep 4, 2025
If liquid keeps leaking from the bottom plate of the cleaning chamber in your YOKOGAWA Measuring Instruments, even after replacing the gasket and adjusting the stopper height, the spring may be deteriorated (corroded), reducing its pressure. Visually inspect the spring and replace it if defective.
