5.2.4 Inspecting O-rings on Sensor Holder
There are two O-rings attached where the pH sensor is installed in the sensor holder to prevent
the measured solution from getting inside the sensor holder (see Figure 4.2). Remove the pH
sensor from the holder and conrm that the chemical solution is not leaking into the holder. If the
solution is leaking into the holder, replace both of these O-rings.
When replacing the O-rings, completely wipe off any solution that has leaked into the sensor
holder. Exercise extra care to remove dirt, which may impair the sealing capability of the O-rings,
from where the O-rings are installed.
5.2.5 Inspecting Terminal Block for Limit Switch
Remove the cover at the upper section of the chassis. Make sure the terminal block for the limit
switch is clean. If the terminal block is contaminated with dust or dirt, clean it.
Also check the conductors and terminals of the cable to ensure that there is no anomaly (such as
corrosion) which may lead to broken wires. If there is any possibility of problems, eliminate such
possibilities by restoring the terminal block to its normal state.
