5-Slot Charge Only Cradle Troubleshooting
Device battery is not
charging.
Device was removed
from cradle or cradle was
unplugged from AC
power too soon.
Ensure cradle is receiving power. Ensure device is
seated correctly. Confirm main battery is charging.
The standard battery charges from fully depleted
to 90% in approximately 4 hours, and the
extended battery charges from fully depleted to
90% in approximately 5.5 hours.
Battery is faulty. Verify that other batteries charge properly. If so,
replace the faulty battery.
The device is not fully
seated in the cradle.
Remove and re-insert the device into the cradle,
ensuring it is firmly seated.
Extreme battery
temperature.
Battery does not charge if ambient temperature is
below 0°C (32°F) or above 40°C (104°F).
Scanner battery is not
charging.
Scanner was removed
from cradle or cradle was
unplugged from AC
power too soon.
Ensure cradle is receiving power. Ensure scanner
is seated correctly. Confirm main battery is
charging.
Battery is faulty. Verify that other batteries charge properly. If so,
replace the faulty battery.

is active. Touch > System > About phone > Status to
view battery status.
Ambient

warm.
Move the cradle to an area where the ambient temperature
is between 0°C (32°F) or above 40°C (104°F).
