1. Compare mating number (1) e. g. "17" with
mating number on t
he crown wheel. Both
mating numbers must be identical.
2. Note ideal backlash (1) e. g. "0.22" [mm].

Risk of burn injuries due to contact with hot

faces.
Slight or moderate injury possible.

Wear protective gloves.
Heat crown wheel.

Slide crown wheel onto the differential until
contact is obtained.
