WX-PA Instruction Manual
If the battery voltage falls below 10.5 Volts, the low battery shutoff control causes the WX-PA
to power down immediately. This can be detected by watching the WX-PA display while
pressing the POWER key. The WX-PA will beep 4 times, display Self Test results briefly
(1
to
2 seconds), and then power down. If this is the case, the charger must be connected to the
WX-PA and left for a period of not less than 8 hours. If the battery does not charge after this
time period, the WX-PA should be returned for service to:

The return procedure outlined in section 4.6.2 of this manual must be followed to return the
WX-PA to 3M for service.

Charger
Shutoff
The WX-PA is equipped with a charger sensing circuit which will internally disconnect the
charger from the battery once a full charge has been attained. Therefore, it is possible to
leave the charger plugged into the WX-PA any time it is not being used, without danger of
over-charging or damaging the battery.
To be certain of a full charge, plug the charger into the WX-PA, switch the WX-PA on, then
off again, and then close the lid.
