Connecting the signal lines
1 Only for the wall-mount housing (model EL3040): Pass the cables through
the screwed cable glands and strip to a length of approx. 20 cm (8 in).
M20: Remove the plugs from the insert; and leave the ring in the screwed
cable glands for sealing and strain relief.
M32: Remove the plugs from the screwed cable glands. If required, slit
open the insert with drill holes from the accessories pack and press over
the cable; seal any open drill holes with dowel pins from the accessories
pack.
2 Connect the lines to the mating plugs as shown in the connection dia-
grams of the I/O modules.
3 Attach the mating plug to the plug-in terminal strips on the
I/O modules.
