3.3 Standard configuration A including directional earth-
fault protection
3.3.1 Applications
The standard configuration for directional earth-fault protection is mainly intended
for cable and overhead line feeder applications in isolated and resonant-earthed
distribution networks. The IED with this standard configuration is delivered from the
factory with default settings and parameters. The end-user flexibility for incoming,
outgoing and internal signal designation within the IED enables this configuration to
be further adapted to different primary circuit layouts and the related functionality
needs by modifying the internal functionality using PCM600.
