Overview: installation
This section contains a list of tasks to be performed when installing the gas sam-
pling system. Links are given to the specific installation instructions describing
installation of the various modules in detail.
It is recommended to have initial startup of the gas sampling system performed by
the manufacturer's trained personnel or by the supplier.
In order to be able to install the various modules of the gas sampling system, prep-
arations must be made at the cement works. A list of preparatory tasks is given in
the "Engineering Guideline".
The rotary kiln must be shut down during installation of the wall tube. Installation of
the gas sampling system should also preferably be performed while the kiln is shut
down. If installation is performed while the kiln is operating, personnel must always
wear adequate heat-proof clothing during assembly of the probe retractor (uncov-
ered duct opening!).
