Network settings
The Network settings widget provides access to all the configuration settings required to integrate the eMShome
into the local network.
The Host name1 is the unique name of the eMShome in the network. It can be freely selected and can contain
upper-case and lower-case letters, numbers and hyphens.
When DHCP2 is enabled, the eMShome automatically obtains an IP address, for example, from a router. No fur-
ther settings are necessary.
If a static IP address is to be set, DHCP must be deactivated using the switch. A static IP, subnet mask, default gate-
way, and the DNS server3 can then be configured.
When UPnP4 is enabled, the eMShome is automatically detected by Windows computers on the same network
and displayed in the network environment. This allows users to find the eMShome on the network even if they do
not know the IPaddress.
