Network settings
The Network settings widget provides access to all the configuration settings required to integrate the eMShome
into the local network.
The Host name1 is the unique name of the eMShome in the network. It can be freely selected and can contain
upper-case and lower-case letters, numbers and hyphens.
When DHCP2 is enabled, the eMShome automatically obtains an IP address, for example, from a router. No fur-
ther settings are necessary.
If a static IP address is to be set, DHCP must be deactivated using the switch. A static IP, subnet mask, default gate-
way, and the DNS server3 can then be configured.
When UPnP4 is enabled, the eMShome is automatically detected by Windows computers on the same network
and displayed in the network environment. This allows users to find the eMShome on the network even if they do
not know the IPaddress.
