5 . Take the test st rip out of the m eter.
You h ave 20 seconds to a pply the blood to the
test str ip and put it b ack in the m eter.
6 . Turn the test strip do wn on top of the blood
drop, ai m ing for the center of th e orange pad.
7 . Put th e test strip back into the m eter with the
orange pad facing up.
8 . An hourglass sy m bol appears on the screen,
then the test result appears.
9 . To re m ove the lancet, take off the lancet device
cap and point the lancet en d away fro m
yourself.
10 . S lide out the ej ector to discharge the lancet
into an appropriate container for sharp obj ects.
