If a cassette is in the left (input) cassette deck, it will be pushed into
index position and the test will pause until STOP is pressed or the
cassette is removed (the cassette will not be indexed).
On entry, “[START] Test [STOP]” is displayed. Press START to
begin the test.
Press STOP to exit to the test menu.
11. Head Rotation Test
Two test modes are available:
a. The first test mode continuously rotates the operating head
between the probe wipers, the sample tube loading position and
the freezing chamber. The head pauses at the sample tube load-
ing position and the freezing chamber but does not descend.
On entry, “Test Insert? NO” is displayed. To select the first
test mode, press ENTER.
When ENTER is pressed at “Test Insert? NO”, “[START]
Test [STOP]” is displayed.
At “[START] Test [STOP]”, press START to begin the test.
Press STOP to stop the action at any time during the test.
Press STOP a second time to exit to the test menu.
b. The second test mode rotates the operating head between the
probe wipers, the sample tube loading position, the INSERT
test well, the freezing chamber, the sample tube loading position
and the INSERT test well, continuously, in that order. The head
only pauses at the sample tube loading position; at the INSERT
test well and the freezing chamber it descends nearly to the
sample tube. To help avoid damage, the operating head does not
pick up tubes during this test.
