OPERATION MANUAL
Rev. 004 MAY 2015
For EX-1000 Systems:
For units equipped with spectrometers, 3 additional menu options are available to configure spectral measurements.
The following section will give a brief overview mainly for information only.
3.2.3.1.5.4 – Spectrometer Settings
The ‘Spectrometer Settings’ menu contains 3 configurable areas: General Settings, Level Trigger Value and Spectrometer
Measurement as shown in Figure 69. The General Settings and Spectrometer Measurement values should be set by an
authorized Advanced Sensors representative.
Figure 69: Spectrometer Settings menu.
The section under ‘General Settings’ displays the Smoothing and Averaging values for the active oil type.
A specific measurement reading, or ‘Level Trigger Value’, can be set by the user to automatically save a spectrometer
reading to file when readings exceed this defined level. This reading will save to the Spec_Logs files stored on the hard
drive of the analyzer.
The detection range, upper and lower detection wavelengths, optimized for the oil type is input into the Spectrometer
Measurement section.
