This allows specialized injection procedures to be constructed which
involve the manipulation of aliquots from multiple vials as, for instance, in
pre- column derivatization. Reagent chemicals are automatically mixed with
the sample to enhance detectability or sensitivity. A commonly used
example is the derivatization of amino acids with OPA and FMOC
reagents. For details, please refer to the Agilent 1260 Infinity High
