General
The VGA 77 uses high concentrations of HCl. Continual exposure to
HCl fumes may damage the instrumentation. Maintain an efficient
exhaust system during VGA determinations and remove HCl
solutions from the VGA 77 and the spectrometer when you finish
your analyses.
Always clean up any spilt liquids immediately. The front of the
spectrometer, the burner/torch compartment and the VGA 77 should
be cleaned daily with a soft cloth. If necessary, use a cloth dampened
with distilled water.
Follow the shut down procedure as described on Page 53.
