1. Hardware Altitude Offset X Feet - The Google Earth interface does not take account of the
change in sea-level pressure and therefore, 3D aircraft positions relative to ground level may not be
displayed correctly. If you are watching aircraft landing and taking off from an airport, this setting
allows a correction to be applied to take into account the atmospheric pressure difference.
Experiment with this setting to achieve the desired effect.
2. Apply Offset - This activates the Hardware Altitude Offset function.
3. Scale Model/Icon Proportionally to Altitude - The size of the aircraft/icon can be set to scale
automatically, or can be set manually. If you are watching a particularly busy piece of airspace, you
might want to manually reduce the size of the aircraft models in order to make the individual aircraft
easier to see.
