Transmission Methods of the Internet Port and PC Port
The transmission method configured for IP phone Internet and PC ports are Auto-negotiation
by default.
Auto-negotiation
Auto-negotiation is an Ethernet procedure by which two connected devices choose common
transmission parameters, such as speed, duplex mode, and flow control. In this process, the
connected devices first share their capabilities regarding these parameters and then choose
the highest performance transmission mode they both support.
Full-duplex
Full-duplex transmission refers to transmitting voice or data in both directions at the same
time; this means one device can send data on the line while receiving data. You can configure
the full-duplex transmission on both Internet port and PC port for the IP phone to transmit in
10Mbps or 100Mbps.
