Port State
Up — The port is physically present and has physical link present.
Down — The port is physically present but does not have a link. Note that
this state may also be considered as Link Down.
Ghost — A port that is not physically present.
None — The port is in its initial creation state or about to be deleted.
Link Up — A port that is physically present and has physical link
present.
Note that when Link Up appears at the lowest level of a SONET/SDH path
or a TDM tributary, it means the physical connection is active but the port is
waiting on some other state before data traffic can flow. It is a waiting state
and indicates that data traffic will not flow until it transitions to the Up state.
Cfg MTU
The configured MTU.
Oper MTU
The negotiated size of the largest packet which can be sent on the port
SONET/SDH, channel, specified in octets.
For channels that are used for transmitting network datagrams, this is the
size of the largest network datagram that can be sent on the channel.
LAG ID
The LAG or multi-link trunk (MLT) that the port is assigned to.
Port Mode
network — The port is configured for transport network use.
access — The port is configured for service access.
hybrid — The port is configured for both access and network use.
Port Encap
Null — Ingress frames will not use tags or labels to delineate a service.
dot1q — Ingress frames carry 802.1Q tags where each tag signifies a
different service.
Port Type
The type of port or optics installed.
SFP/MDI MDX
GIGE — Indicates the GigE SFP type.
FASTE — Indicates the FastE SFP type.
GIGX — Indicates the GigX SFP type.
MDI — Indicates that the Ethernet interface is of type MDI (Media
Dependent Interface).
MDX — Indicates that the Ethernet interface is of type MDX (Media
Dependent Interface with crossovers).
