The user can then select the format required.
Individual elements can also be ltered using a Periodic Table selector. This is initiated by clicking the
button on the
Main Window.
The Periodic Table of Elements dialog box will be displayed as per gure 18 below. The user can then select the
atomic species of interest (alongside their ionisation levels) to identify the relevant element from this screen.

The results of the Display preference and/or Periodic table selections are displayed on the Main Window, where the
software has labeled the spectral features based on theoretical wavelength (according to NIST database) of the atomic
species selected.
When the cursor is moved to a point on the spectrum window, the cursor on the image moves to the corresponding line:
