The following example shows the effect of the relative efciency correction.
• The following gure shows the row data (live) from a mercury lamp, if shows that the intensity of the 546 nm line
has double the intensity of the 253.7 nm line.
• The following gure shows the same data after applying the relative efciency correction. Here the intensity of
546 nm line is much lower than the 253.7 nm line.
