The laser spot size is varied by turning the bezel. The system detects the new spot size
automatically.
4.2.7 Equipotential terminal
The equipotential connection (see Error! Reference source not found.) is used to create a uni-
form potential within a patient area/treatment room. With the equipotential line, touchable conduc-
tive housing parts on several devices can be interconnected to compensate their potential
differences.
Direct connection to the equipotential busbar of the electrical installation of the room/building is
also possible.
Important information
The equipotential line cannot replace the protective ground conductor of the device.
4.2.8 Mains connection
Important information
When selecting the power outlet, consider all technical data of your local network and
the device. First, verify that the available mains power corresponds with the specified
power requirements (mains power indicated on maker's plate). If the device is
connected to an inappropriate power supply, it may be damaged.
Observe the requirements stipulated in your national regulations/standards as
amended.
Before the device is connected to the mains supply, the rocker switch of the main switch must be
in position O (device potential-free). First, plug the mains cable into the power inlet socket at the
rear panel of the device before connecting the other end with the mains plug. The operation of the
laser requires the device to be connected to a single-phase power outlet protected by a separate
fuse rated for at least 2500VA (type C circuit breaker).
