This screen shows
an example of a defective gray bars test screen. The appearance of
a black rectangle in the middle of a light gray bar means that the data for that part of
the screen has failed to be translated properly to the TV.
Any disruption of the
standard gray
bars pattern (See Figure 4-4) or any color in the gray bars screen
indicates a failure.
