the skin temperature display. Pay special attention
to the fluctuations in the skin temperature.
If too much heat is supplied from the start, the
●
infant’s skin temperature may rise above a target
level. Servo control operation is recommended if
you want to maintain the infant’s skin temperature
at a desired level. Increase the heater output
gradually while monitoring the infant’s skin tem-
perature carefully. Avoid rapid heating.
When the heater output is set to 35% or higher in the manual control mode, the baby check alarm indicator will ■
come on, an audible alarm will sound and the heater output will be turned off in 15 minutes. Check the infant’s
condition. To continue to warm the infant at the same preselected heat level, press the reset switch.
Do not press the reset switch without checking the infant’s condition.

Use the preheating function to warm the mattress surface in advance.
A baby check alarm does not occur during preheating. Cancel preheating before placing the infant on the
mattress.
(1) Press and hold
for one second.
(2) When the “%” indicator on the right of the setting
display comes on and the set heater output on the
setting display and
begin to flash, press .

” will illuminate on the setting display and pre-
heating will be started.
For the first 15 minutes, the mattress surface will
be warmed at 100% (26mW/cm

) heater output.
Then the heater output will be reduced to 30 %
(10mW/cm
2
) for proper warming.
