Timer7-1.
The unit is provided with a count-up timer, which counts up from 0 minute to 60 minutes 00 second. A chime
rings at 1,3,5 and 10 minutes, so that it will serve as an Apgar timer (the Apgar mode). On the other hand, if
you use it as a CPR timer (the CPR mode), an alert for evaluating resuscitation will sound every 30 seconds in
addition to the above-mentioned chimes. In time with the alert, the second counter lamps for evaluating the
heart rate will come on one by one.
Operating the Timer7-1-1.
Whether in the Apgar mode or in the CPR mode, the timer can be started and reset as follows.
(1) To start the timer, press
.
To reset the timer, press (2)
while the timer is
counting.
Setting the Timer Mode7-1-2.
(1) Turn the power switch on while pressing .
If (2)
appears on the timer display, the timer
is in the CPR mode. If “ ” appears on the
timer display, the timer is in the Apgar mode.
* The timer is in the Apgar mode when the unit is
shipped from the factory.
(3) Every time or is pressed, the timer toggles
between the Apgar mode and the CPR mode. When a
desired mode is displayed, turn the power off. When
the power is turned on again, the timer operates in
the selected mode.
