on the rocker arm, insert the proper clearance gauge and turn the
adjusting nut until a slight resistance is felt on the inserted
clearance gage.
After adjustment, tighten the locking nut to prevent loosening and
re-insert the valve gauge to re-check the valve clearance.
Reinstall the valve covers once final adjustment has been made.
4. Cleaning and replacement of air
filter
Take out the air filter and check if it is contaminated.
Dismounting:
Open the right cover and disassemble the air filter.
Cleaning:
Wash the filter in clean washing oil and wipe it dry with dry
cloth.
Soak the filter element in clean engine lub oil. Squeeze it dry
and fit it back to position.
Recommended oil:15W/40SE
Caution:
The air filter element for use must be intact or the engine will
suck in dust and dirt, resulting a shorter service life of the engine.
Water should be prevented from entering into the filter in
washing the vehicle.
The filter shall never be cleaned with gasoline or any other
agent of a low ignition point.
