12.2 Typical 50 Hours Check
Visual checks only unless stated! All checks to include fastenings, cracking,
leaks, discoloration and wire locking!
Ensure that all switches are OFF before rotating the engine.
Starter Ring – rotate engine via prop
Signs of contact and chafing/cracking
Lower Timing Sensor and cables
Signs of contact and chafing/cracking
Upper Timing Sensor and cables
Signs of contact and chafing/cracking
Check tension and condition
Fan Filter – remove and check
View Fan Impeller – Debris – Cracks
Engine Mounts – port side
Fuel Rail, Injector, Pressure Regulator
Leaks – Cracks – Cable Connection
Check temperature sensor connection
Rotor Housing drain screw
Exhaust System - complete
Overheat adjacent parts – Security
Voltage Regulator and cables
Security of all clips – Leaks
Leakage and temperature sensor connection
Oil Pump – Lines and Terminations
Spark Plug Coils and Plug Caps
Engine Mounts – Starboard Side
Starter Motor Mounts and Cable
Bolts and cable connections
Starter Pinion – Condition and
Laxity
Teeth, free movement, play
Generator (Stator / Rotor)
Note any debris in the area
