BACnet support Conforms to the Advanced Application Controller (B-AAC)
Standard Device Profile as defined in ANSI/ASHRAE
Standard 135-2004 (BACnet) Annex L
Listed by UL-916 (PAZX), cUL-916 (PAZX7), FCC Part 15-Subpart B-
Class A, CE EN50082-1997
The Room Controller has 4 inputs that accept the signal types described below.

Description
All inputs Thermistor Precon type 2 (10 kOhm at 77°F). Input voltages should
be from 0.489 Vdc to 3.825 Vdc for thermistors.
All inputs Dry contact A 5 Vdc wetting voltage detects contact position,
resulting in a 0.5 mA maximum sense current when the
contacts are closed.
Input 3
Input 4
0–5 Vdc The output impedance of a 05 Vdc source must not
exceed 10 kOhms. The input impedance of the Room
Controller is approximately 1 MOhm.
All inputs Pulse counter* Pulse counting up to 10 pulses per second.
Minimum pulse width (on or off time) required for each
pulse is 50 msec.
All inputs Timed local
override
A momentary contact switch that overrides a schedule
and turns equipment on for a defined period of time. The
override time added for each push of the button and the
maximum allowable On time are software adjustable.
* The Room Controller can perform pulse counting for dry contact or voltage inputs if you assign
the input to a Pulse to Analog Input microblock. See To assign inputs or outputs to points (page
17).
NOTE The Room Controller has a built-in room temperature sensor (Input 6) that is read
by an RS Zone Sensor microblock. You must use a BACview to calibrate the temperature
sensor in a stand-alone Room Controller. See:
Appendix C - Editing properties in a built-in control program (page
86)
Creating a custom control program (page 6)
The Room Controller has 6 digital outputs. These outputs are small pilot relays that drive
external 24 Vac relays/devices (or 26 Vdc, depending on the controller's power supply).
Each output is a wet contact rated at 1 A maximum and is normally open.
The Room Controller has 2 analog outputs that support voltage devices from 0-10 Vdc.
The controlled device must have a minimum of 1000 Ohms resistance measured from its
input to ground and must share the same ground as the controller.
