Setting up favorite contacts
About this task
You can assign up to 16 favorite numbers from your Contacts list as one-touch speed dial buttons
on the Home screen. You must set up a contact before you can assign any associated phone
numbers as favorites.
Procedure
1. Press Contacts.
2. Search for the contact you want to set up as a favorite.
3. Tap the Details button for the contact to display detail information.
4. Tap Favorite.
5. Tap the number you want to set as a favorite.
6. Enter a caption or label for this favorite. The Home screen displays the caption or label every
time this favorite is chosen. See
Using the On-screen Keyboard on page 24 if you need help
entering the label text.
7. If you entered the caption or label using the on-screen keyboard, tap Done. Otherwise go to
Step 8.
8. Tap Save.
Note:
To remove a favorite contact number from the Home screen, follow the procedure used for
setting up a favorite and tap the number to toggle from on to off. Ensure that the status has
changed, and then tap Save.
9. Repeat Steps 3 through 7 to set up another favorite contact.
Changing the primary contact number
About this task
If a contact has two or three numbers, the primary contact number is the first number in the list. By
default, the phone dials the primary number first, when you tap a contact in the Contacts list.
Procedure
1. Press Contacts.
2. Search for the contact whose primary number you want to change.
3. Tap the Details button for the contact to display detailed information.
4. Tap Edit.
5. Tap Primary.
