Accessing the SAMI Menu
To access the SAMI Menu, navigate to the Console Settings menu, press 7 and then press Enter.
This menu shows you the editable SAMI settings, current port numbesr and SAMI time-out
settings.
New settings to the SAMI are not applied until after entering 0 to exit/apply changes. For proper
operation, once a command is sent, wait for a response before another command is sent. Each
command must be encapsulated in a single TCP/IP packet.
NOTE: The SAMI is disabled by default and uses password as the default password.

To configure the following on the SAMI Menu:
To enable or disable the SAMI, select option 1 to toggle back and forth. The screen will be
refreshed with the new setting.
To change the default password, select option 2 and enter your new password. You will be
prompted to re-enter your password. Press
Enter to complete this process.
To change the port number (between 1024 and 65535), select option 3.
To enter the session time-out time (in minutes), select option 4.
•Press 0 (zero) to exit and apply changes, or press c to cancel the changes, if any.
Example Session
Send the use password password command terminated by a line feed (the response should be resp
connect).
Enter the get ipaddr command (the response should be resp ipaddr 192.168.13.7).
NOTE: In this example, the IP address of the managed unit is 192.168.13.7
