About this cha p ter
Read this c hapter before installing your ULC-30A chiller. It contains important information concerning installation requirements for
the chiller, such as minimum and maximum allowed ambient temperature, humidity conditions, required safety area around the
installed projector, required power net, etc.
Furthermore, careful cons ideration of things such as ima ge size, ambient light level, projector plac ement and type of screen to use
are critical to the optim um use of the projection sy stem.
Barco provides a guarantee relating to perfect manufacturing as part of the legally stipulated terms of guar-
antee. O bserving the specification mentioned in this chapter is critical for projector performance. Neglecting
this can result in loss of w arranty.

4.1 Installation requirements
CAUTION: The following are the en vironme ntal conditions o f the ULC-30A chiller as one singular device.
While the chiller is connected to a projector w ith more strict environm ental conditions, t hose conditions will
apply to the entire installation setup (projector, h oses an d ch iller).
Neglecting to do so will cause damage to the projector connected to t he chiller.

4.2 Installation area
Perimeter space
The installation area must be level with an adequate load coefficient and prearranged for the installation of electrical wiring.
