4.4 Initial inspection
General
Before shipment, the chiller was inspected and found to be free of m echanical and electrical defects. As soon as the chiller is
unpacked, inspect for any dam age that m ay have o ccurred in transit. S ave all packing material until the inspection is completed. If
damage is found, file claim w ith carrier immediately. T he Barco S ales and Servic e office should be notified as soon as possible.
The p ackaging of t he chiller is provided w ith a sho ck-watch label. If this sho ck-watch label was triggered (red
colored at arrival) during transport may indicate rough handling by the transport company. In this
case, the
instructions m entioned on the label, should be followed, which a re: adding a note on the “bill of lading” and
informing the transport co mpan y and the Barco sales and service offic e as soon as possible.

Mechanical check
This chec k should confirm that there are no br oken knobs or connectors, that the cabinet and panel surfaces ar e free of dents and
scratches. The Barco S ales and Service office should be notified as soon as poss ible if this is not the case.
