4. Activate the Enable Matrix Grid function.
5. Write all device names of the Grid matrices into the Matrix Grid list, starting in
the left column. Based on the listings, a Grid master will be automatically
determined for the Matrix Grid. The closer to the top a matrix is listed in the
matrix Grid list, the more likely the matrix is considered in the automatic master
selection, provided that certain criteria, such as system availability, are fulfilled.
6. Activate the single matrices in the Matrix Grid list by enabling the Y (YES)
function.
7. Enter the number of chassis ports for each matrix (8, 16, 32, 48, 64, 80, 160 or
288).
8. Restart all matrices, beginning with the master matrix.
The Matrix Grid can be used now and offers the possibility for a cross-matrix
switching of CON Devices to CPU Devices.
Java Tool
• To use the Matrix Grid, execute the configuration wizard in the menu System >
Matrix Grid. It guides you through the configuration of Matrix Grids.
