5.14 Clean the cooling fins on
engine and hydraulic oil
cooler
Danger of injury!
Perform cleaning work only after the engine
has cooled down and with the engine stopped.
Do not damage any cooling fins on the cooler
core when cleaning.
Dirt on fan blades and radiator reduce the cooling
effect. Dirt deposits in these areas are substantial-
ly supported by oil and fuel on these surfaces. For
this reason you should always seal any oil or fuel
leaks in the vicinity of the cooling fan or the radia-
tor and clean the cooling surfaces after.
Cleaning with compressed air
Start to blow out from the exhaust side.

the air supply side.
