5.24 Change the coolant
Danger of scalding!
Change the coolant only when the engine is
cold.
Do not remove the radiator cap when the en-
gine is still hot.
Always wear gloves when handling anti-freeze
agent.
Always screw the radiator cap tightly back on
(second detent).
Always fill the engine cooling system with an
anti-freeze mixture (corrosion protection).
Do not use more than 50% anti-freeze.
Do not mix different coolants and additives of
any other kind. If necessary flush the cooling
system 2-3 times with clear water.
For quality and quantity of coolant refer to the
"table of fuels and lubricants".
Catch running out coolant and dispose of envi-
ronmentally.
