6.3.1 Removal steps
NOTE
Destruction of the Rexroth component if the component is removed while under
voltage!
Before installing or removing components, de-energize the ctrlX SAFETY controller,
including its parts!
To remove the ctrlX SAFETY SAFEX-C.1* control device in the voltage-free state, proceed
as described below:
1. Loosen the terminal blocks according to section 6.5.3
2. Remove the left end holder (see (A) in the figure below).
3. Use a suitable tool (e.g. a slotted screwdriver) to reach into the lower release mechanism
(foot latch) of the controller and unlock the controller (see (B) in the figure below). The foot
latches are locked in the open position.
4. Remove the controller in perpendicular to the DIN rail (see (C) in the following figure). The
foot latches then snap back into the rest position.
NOTE
Ensure that the controller is safely held in the DIN rail!
Before the controller can be mounted on the DIN rail again, the open position lock must
be released again. To do this, press the locking lever, see “Fig. 4: Locking lever for
releasing the opening lock on page 21.
