3.6 Load cell connection
The weighing terminals of the EWI / MWI series offer different options to
connect load cells / weighing platforms (weighing bridges) to the transmitter.
Connecting a 4-wire load cell
5-pin socket connection of 4-wire load cells

Attention
With certified systems the weighing terminal and the digitization unit have an
encrypted value. This value is unique and cannot be reproduced, it serves as
a calibration protection. This protection ensures that only the weighing
terminal, which is rated by the Office of Weights and Measures works together
with digitizing unit reviewed by Office of Weights and Measures.
Note
In case of damage to the weighing terminal, the verification seal is broken and
a replacement device can be connected. Recalibration is then mandatory.
