What to do if Bray Controller actuator does not fully close valve (or open valve)?
    • R
      Robert JacobsAug 3, 2025
If the Bray Controller actuator doesn't fully close or open the valve, several factors could be at play. First, check if the limit switches are depressed and readjust the travel limit switches. Second, examine whether a mechanical travel stop is impeding the actuator and adjust the mechanical travel stops. Also, the valve torque requirement might be higher than the actuator output; in this case, manually override it out of the seat, try angle seating, or consider a larger actuator. Fourth, optional torque switches might be activating because the valve torque exceeds the actuator torque rating, so you may need to consult the factory. Finally, ensure that the voltage power supply is sufficient and check the power source.

Why Bray 70 Series Controller actuator does not operate?
    • F
      fordadamAug 14, 2025
If the Bray Controller actuator isn't operating, there are a few potential reasons. First, ensure the override isn't engaged by pushing the handwheel in all the way. Next, verify that the wiring is correct and the power supply is adequate. Finally, the actuator motor may have reached its thermal shutdown temperature, so allow it time to cool down.

How to fix Bray Controller actuator operating in reverse directions?
    • B
      burnetttaraAug 23, 2025
If the Bray Controller actuator operates in reverse directions, the field wiring is likely reversed. Rewire the field wiring to correct this issue.
