      The wireless setting may not be activated. Turn the wireless setting to ON. If a LAN cable is connected to your Brother All in One Printer, disconnect it and turn the wireless setting of your machine to ON. 1. On your printer, press MENU. 2. Press a or b to display Network, and press Network. 3. Press WLAN, and then Setup Wizard. 4. When WLAN Enable? is displayed, press On. This will start the wireless setup wizard.

      There might be several reasons why your Brother All in One Printer can't find the wireless network: * Make sure that the WLAN access point/router is powered on. * Move your printer to an obstruction-free area, or closer to the WLAN access point/router. * Temporarily place your printer within about 3.3 feet (one meter) from the WLAN access point when you are configuring the wireless settings. * If your WLAN access point/router is using MAC address filtering, confirm the MAC address of the Brother machine is allowed in the filter. Also, the information you entered may be incorrect. Reconfirm the SSID and security information and reenter the correct information as necessary.

      If your Brother All in One Printer cannot print or scan over the network, confirm the IP address and the Subnet Mask. Verify that both the IP addresses and Subnet Masks of your computer and the Brother machine are correct and located on the same network. If the failed printing job is still in the print queue of your computer, delete it. You can also try to uninstall the MFL-Pro Suite and reinstall it.

The manufacturer's name or model no. of the WLAN access point/router may be used as the default security settings. Also, confirm the MAC address of the Brother machine is allowed in the filter. You can find the MAC address from the Brother machine's control panel. You should type the correct SSID name or Network Key by hand. Check the SSID name or the Network Key in the instructions supplied with your WLAN access point/router and reconfigure the wireless network setup. Use the Network Connection Repair Tool.
