Serial Interface Set-up
● Hardwired handshake: The 2525 sets the RTS control line (pin 7) off when it
will accept no more data. When it is ready to receive more data, the RTS line is
set on. When the external device sets the CTS control line (pin 8 of the 2525)
off, the 2525 stops transmitting until CTS goes back on.
● Modem Handshake: If the RLSD (DCD) (pin 1) goes off, the 2525 ignores all
incoming data until the RSLD is detected high again.
3.2.4 Echo On/Off
This function allows you to choose whether or not all commands received are “ech-
oed” back to the send source. That is, if a command is sent to the amplifier, each
character in the command is sent back to the sender as soon as the amplifier
receives it. In this way it is possible to ensure that every character has been re-
ceived correctly by the amplifier before the next character is sent.
