3 Operation
3.1 Installation.
3.1.1
Fasteners
The 2BV series pumps are simply placed on a horizontal surface and bolted in place. No
special frame is required.
3.1.2
Connection
To prevent small particles from the ambient air from entering the pump, all connection plugs
are covered with caps. Do not remove the plugs until you are ready to connect the pump to the
system.
The system to be connected to the pump must meet the following requirements:
The pressure on the outlet flange side must not exceed the maximum
permissible pressure (see section 5).
If the system is newly assembled, it is recommended to install a filter on the
suction flange for the first 100 operating hours to prevent any welding slag that
may have been left behind after the system was assembled from entering the
pump.
Recommended methods of supplying the working fluid are described in Section 2.
3.1.3
Method of supplying the working fluid
Flow-through method: Separator and partial recirculation:
6) vacuum pump body; 7) suction nozzle; 8) electromagnetic relay; 9)
check valve; 10) separator; 11) bypass valve; 12) outlet pipe; 20)
supply of working fluid.
3.1.3.1
Flow-through method of supplying the working fluid
This type of connection is used to ensure a minimum residual pressure at the inlet. For this
purpose, a sufficient amount of process fluid is supplied to the pump,
