Automatic Fire Suppression System
An automatic re suppression system is installed in the engine room. The suppression system is located in the AFT
transom area of the engine room, STARBOARD side, behind the freshwater tank. This system provides extra security in the
event of an engine room re. Refer to the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) information for details on operating the
re suppression system. The system can also be activated manually by a handle mounted at the helm.
The re suppression system monitor is wired to an ignition switch. The monitor light should be ON when the ignition switch
is turned ON. The monitor is installed below the lower helm controls. The suppression system contains an engine shut-off
circuit. The engine generator and engine compartment blowers automatically shut off when the system is activated for
safety reasons.
This system function can be reversed after a re has been extinguished by moving the switch on the re suppression to
the “Override” position. This switch should always be in the “Normal” position during all normal operating periods.
