  If the engine of your Case Excavator doesn't start but the starter turns over, several issues could be the cause. First, ensure the battery master switch is in the “I” (On) position. Check for fuel in the tank and any signs of leakage; refuel if necessary. Air in the fuel system can also prevent starting, so remove any air intrusion. Other potential causes include a clogged fuel filter (remove moisture and replace the element), frozen fuel (warm the fuel pipe with hot water or wait for warmer temperatures), a clogged supply pump strainer (clean the strainer), or an overflow valve that remains open (clean or replace the supply pump, fuel filter, or fuel port overflow valve). For failures of the supply pump or engine control system, it's best to consult your CASE CONSTRUCTION Dealer.

Inspect the battery terminals and starter ground wire terminal for disconnection, looseness, or corrosion; repair the corroded area and tighten securely. If the engine oil viscosity is too high, replace it with oil of appropriate viscosity. For a faulty starter or electrical system, consult your CASE CONSTRUCTION Dealer.
