causeoverheatoftheengineorinsufcientchargingof
thebatteryduetoslippingbeltinitshousing.

Applyngerpressureofabout10kg(22.0lb)centerof
thebeltwhiletheengineisshutdownandthestarter
keyisremoved.
Looseoftensionshouldbeabout6.6–7.4mm(0.260
–0.291in).
NOTE:Checkanyindicationofdamageonthepulleyor
beltduetowear.Checkthoroughlytomakesurethatthe
beltiscorrectlyengagedtogrooveofthepulley.Thebelt
mustbereplacedifitiselongated,ithascracksoritisworn
out.

Adjustmentoftension
1.Loosenthelocknut(1)andthemountingbolt(2).
2.Lightlytightenthelocknut(1)untilitsseatingface
touches.
3.Rotatetheadjustbolt(3)toadjusttensionofthe
belttobecomestandardvalue.
4.Tightenthelocknut(1)andthemountingbolt(2)
thathavebeenloosenedwithspeciedtorque.
Tighteningtorqueofthemountingbolt(2):
44–58N(9.892–13.039lb)
Tighteningtorqueofthelocknut(1):
20–30N(4.496–6.744lb)
