Operatingthemachineinhotorcoldweather
Incoldweather
Makesuretouseuidsandlubricantswhichhavespecicationssuitableforoperationatlowambienttemperatures.
Checkthebatteriesforfullchargestate.
Fillupthefueltankaftercompletingthework,andthendrainwaterbeforestartingworkonthenextdayinorderto
preventdewcondensationandinvasionofwatertothefuelsystem.
Usefuelwhichisratedtotheoutsideairtemperature,orproperanti-freezeinordertopreventcrystalgenerationat
-2°C(28°F).
NOTICE:Beforetransportingthemachinetoacoldregion,llthetankwithfuelthathasalowfreezingtemperature.
Inhotweather
Makesuretouseuidsandlubricantswhichhavespecicationssuitableforoperationathighambienttempera-
tures.
Keepthecoolantatthecorrectlevelinthecoolantreservoirandintheradiator.
Usethecorrectsolutionofethyleneglycolandwaterinthecoolingsystem.
Testtheradiatorcapbeforehotweatherstarts.Replacethecapasrequired.
Cleanalldirtanddebrisfromtheradiator,coolerandenginearea.
Checktheconditionofthefandrivebelt.
Operationunderdustyandsandyconditions
Frequentlyinspecttheelementoftheaircleanerandcleanorreplacetheelementandthedustcupregardlessof
servicedue.
Tightlyclosethebreathercapofthehydraulictanktopreventinvasionofsandanddusttothehydrauliccircuits.
Makesuretothoroughlycleanthegreasettingsbeforegreasinganylubricationpointofeachpinandbush.
Makesuretocleantheradiatornandoilcoolernandtheradiatorgrid.
Operationonseashore
Inspecttightnessoftheplugs/cocks/boltsineachpointinordertopreventsaltcorrosion.
Thoroughlywashthemachineafterthework,especiallytakegoodcareoftheelectricalequipmentandhydraulic
cylindertopreventcorrosion.
Operationonhighlyhumidlandorsoftland
Keepthemachineasdryaspossibleduringoperationandmakesuretocarryoutregularlubrication.Moistureand
mudwatercausedeteriorationandcorrosionofpaints/wirings/metalcomponents.
