Thefollowingprocedureapplieswhenthemachine
istobestoredforamonthormore.Storethema-
chineonat,levelground,insideabuildingor,ifnot
possible,outsideandcoveredwithatarpaulin.Be-
forestoringthemachine,carryoutthefollowingop-
erations:
1.Cleanthemachine.
2.Makesurethatthemachinehasnodamagedormiss-
ingparts.Replacethemifnecessary.
3.Retractthecylinderrodsasforaspossibleandlower
theboomuntiltheattachmentisrestingontheground.
Lowerthedozerblade(ifequipped)totheground.
4.Greasethemachinethoroughly.Theexposedsurfaces
ofthecylinderrodsshouldbegreasedorcoveredwitha
protectivelm.ConsultyourCASECONSTRUCTION
Dealer.
NOTE:whenthemachineresumesservice,thelmwill
disappearautomatically.
5.Whiletheengineisstillwarm,draintheoilsump,re-
placetheoillterandllwithspeciedoil.Checkthe
oillevelandaddmoreifnecessary.
6.Cleanorreplacetheairlterelement.
7.Checkthelevelofcoolantsolution.Ifthemachine
iswithin100hofthenextscheduledcoolantchange,
changethecoolantnow.
8.Removethebattery,cleanthebatteryhousing,and
checkthatthereisnoadhesionofbatteryuid.Store
thebatterysafelyinacoolanddryplacewheretem-
peratureis0°C(32°F)ormore.Alternatively,cut-off
thecablefromthenegative(-)terminalofthebattery,
orturnthebatterydisconnectswitchtotheOFFposi-
tion.
9.Applyacoatingifithasanyawsorpeelings.
10.Plugtheaircleanerinletandtheexhaustpipe.
11.Removethestarterkey,putthe"Donotoperate"tag
ontherightconsole,andsetthegatelocklevertothe
centralposition.
12.Lockthehood,thesidedoor,andthecabdoor.
