2.Loosentheairbleedplug(2)onfuellter(1).
3.TurnthestarterkeytoONpositontoactivatethefuel
feedpump.
NOTICE:DonotkeepthestarterkeytoONposition
formorethan5min.Failingtocomplywillresultinse-
riousdamagestothefuelfeedpumpandtotheelectric
systemofthemachine.Ifairbleedingisnotcompleted
after5min,stoptheprocedureandturnthestarterkey
toOFFpositionfor2min.Thenturnthestarterkeyto
ONpositionagainandcompletethebleedingproce-
dure.
4.Turnthehandleoftheprimingpump(3)totheleftand
itwillspringupduetothespringinsidethehandle.
5.Bymovingtheprimingpump(3),thefuelthatcontains
bubblescanbedrainedfromtheairbleedplug.
Movetheprimingpumpuntilnoaircomesoutfromthe
airbleedplug(2).
6.Snugtightentheairbleedplug(2).
7.Movetheprimingpumpuntilthefuellterislledwith
fuel(10timesormore).
8.Waitabout1minandloosentheairbleedplug.
9.Repeatsteps6through8untilnoaircomesoutfrom
theairbleedplug(atleast3times).Tightentheair
bleedplug(2).
Airbleedplugtighteningtorque:8–12N·m(5.9–
8.9lbft)
NOTICE:Donottightentheairbleedplugmorethan
itsspeciedtorque.Doingsomightdamagethe
O-rings.
10.Loosentheairbleedplug(5)ofthefuelpre-lter.
Movetheprimingpump(3)untilnoaircomesoutfrom
theairbleedplug.
11.Tightentheairbleedplug(5).
Airbleedplugtighteningtorque:8–12N·m(5.9–
8.9lbft)
12.Repeatthestepsfrom10to11fortheadditionalpre-
lter(6)ifequipped.
