• With the free service software, Terminal Supervisor 3 ' via the service interface of
the device - directly via USB or LAN connected to a PC or notebook.
• The terminal can although be updated via USB-OTG-Interface. The update
package will be provided by CCV.
Please do not disconnect the terminal from the power supply while the software activation
is running. Otherwise the update could be activated incompletely and the terminal has to be
sent in to load it completely new.
5.8.4 Maintenance and Repairs
The Terminal Configuration Server TKS also allows the configuration of terminals,
reloading and activation of new cards (e.g. new customer cards) and the verification of
user interactions and host news.
For this operation, there is also the terminal supervisor 3 (TS3) available. You can use the
connection to reduce costs as remote access via ISDN or LAN. TS3 can be connected
directly to the terminal (LAN or USB) by on-site operation.
Please refer to the terminal supervisor 3 manual for more information.
5.8.5 Maintenance-System
The TKS allow in addition to the already mentioned also the automatic processing of jobs.
(= Scripts from several successive running actions) – either to change the configuration
(e.g. Change the call number) or to recharge and to activate of new cards (e.g. New
customer cards)
Please contact your network operator if it has its own TKS. We provide this service line,
of course, also gladly available.
5.8.6 Terminal Security State (TSS)
The TSS is displayed at the boot sequence and a 4-digit hexadecimal value. The first two
digits of the Terminal Security State are for the affected component. The last two digits
stand for the state of this component.
The TSS for an operational terminal is “0x0000”. The following table show selected TSS
and the resulting actions for the technician.
