troubleshoot and repair the unit.

WARNING
Read the REPAIR chapter and make
sure that the power is disconnected
before doing any repairs.
6.3 Electrical
ISSUE POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTION
Unit Does Not Start
No Message Displayed

1. Main disconnect switch
OFF.
Turn main disconnect switch ON.
2. One or more legs of the
main power source is dead.
Test and repair as necessary.
3. Fuse(s) in the main discon
-
nect switch have blown.
Determine and correct cause before
replacing fuse.
4. Incoming power supply is
incorrect.
Check for fluctuating or incorrect
incoming voltage. Machine power
requirements are shown on the
nameplate.
5. 24VAC transformer T3 is
bad.
Test and replace as necessary.
6. Circuit breaker CB1 is
tripped, disabling 24VAC
control circuit.
Reset.
If circuit breaker continues to trip,
check for short in the circuit wiring
and replace any defective compo
-
nents.
7. Start button PB7 or one
of its associated terminal
blocks is bad.
Test and replace as necessary.
8. Contactor or Control Relay
is bad.
Test and replace as necessary.
9. Connections to main con
-
trol board are bad.
Check connections to MPC1. Repair
as necessary.
10. MPC2 display/keyboard
controller circuit board in
CHI panel is bad.
Test and replace as necessary.
11. MPC1 machine controller
circuit board is bad.
Test and replace as necessary.
12. Control latching circuit is
defective.
Press and hold the START button. If
the screen lights up while the button
is held, but shuts off when released,
refer to Machine Starts Then Shuts
Down.
