These are the switch features:
• Hardware
– Catalyst 2970G-24T switch—24 10/100/1000 Ethernet ports
– Catalyst 2970G-24TS—24 10/100/1000 Ethernet ports and 4 small
form-factor pluggable (SFP) module slots
• The switches support these SFP modules:
– 1000BASE-SX
– 1000BASE-LX
– 1000BASE-ZX
– 1000BASE-T
– 100BASE-FX
– CWDM
Note When installed in Catalyst 2970 switches, 1000BASE-T SFP modules can
operate at 10, 100, or 1000 Mbps in full-duplex mode or at 10 or 100
Mbps in half-duplex mode.
• Configuration
– 10/100/1000 ports autonegotiate speed and support only full-duplex
mode.
• Switches are hot-swappable.
• Power redundancy
– Connection for optional Cisco RPS 675 redundant power system that
operates on AC input and supplies backup DC power output to the switch.
