Alloperationsonthebatterymustbe
carried out in a well ventilated area and
awayfromnakedflamesandsources
ofsparks,soastoavoidtheriskof
explosionorfire.
Donottrytochargeafrozenbattery;
thebatterymustfirstbethawedoutto
avoidtheriskofexplosion.Ifthebattery
hasbeenfrozen,beforecharginghave
itcheckedbyaCITROËNdealerora
qualifiedworkshopwhowillcheckthat
theinternalcomponentshavenotbeen
damagedandthecasingisnotcracked,
whichcouldcausealeakoftoxicand
corrosiveacid.
Do not reverse the polarity and use only
a12Vcharger.
Donotdisconnecttheterminalswhile
theengineisrunning.
Donotchargethebatterieswithout
disconnectingtheterminalsfirst.
Washyourhandsafterwards.
Do not push the vehicle to start the
engineifyourvehiclehasanautomatic
gearbox.
Somefunctionsarenotavailableifthe
batteryisnotsufficientlycharged.
It is advisable to disconnect the battery if
thevehicleistobeleftunusedformore
thanonemonth.
Thebatteriescontainharmfulsubstances
suchassulphuricacidandlead.They
mustbedisposedofinaccordance
withregulationsandmustnot,inany
circumstances,bediscardedwithhousehold
waste.
Takeusedremotecontrolbatteriesand
vehiclebatteriestoaspecialcollectionpoint.
