GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS
This product must be grounded. If this product should malfunction,
grounding provides a path of least resistance for electric current to
reduce the risk of electric shock.
HCS Hardwired EVSE Grounding
The hardwired HCS is equipped with three service conductors
connected to a grounded, metal, permanent wiring system, or
an equipment-grounding conductor must be run with the circuit
conductors and connected to the ground lead on the product.
HCS Plug-in EVSE Grounding
The plug-in HCS is equipped with a supply cord having an
equipment grounding conductor and a grounding plug. The plug
must be plugged into an appropriate receptacle that is properly
installed and grounded in accordance with all local codes and
ordinances.
WARNING: Improper connection of the equipment
grounding conductor may result in a risk of electric
as to whether the product is properly grounded. Do not
modify the plug provided with the product – if it will not
electrician.
